PLANNING ENGINEER
REQUIREMENTS
- Responsible for making detail plans of all relevant project tasks, which are based on task contents and contract. These plans belong to Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Launching.Coordinate with Construction Supervisor/ Superintendent to consider and identify the involvement and the dependence between fabrication and specific equipment.
- Deploy plans up to level 2 or level 3. This depends on milestones, contract schedules, S curve schedules (in general and in detail) and charts.Monitor work schedule and changes in plans (if any) and update new plan schedules as estimated or required.Coordinate planned schedules with practical schedules obtained from different sources in project, and then make schedule reports.
- Make forecast reports about plans of materials and equipment to ensure project fabrication in accordance with planned schedule and quality. Monitor the status of equipment/ lifting equipment rented from outside in order to effectively serve for the project.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement disciplines and construction superintendents to establish a system for monitoring and checking engineering and logistics cases that may directly affect project fabrication.
- Coordinate with planning engineers of subcontractors in order to synthesize their plans to the overall project plans.
- Ensure all essential items, materials, equipment, which have been clearly figured out in the plan, will be present on the site. Estimate the manpower for fabrication, installation, launching, onshore and offshore commissioning.
- Make project schedule reports(daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports) in accordance with approved forms.
- Project schedule analysis: Based on the planned project schedule, monitor and update practical schedule, which can be a base for monitoring project schedule; figure out risks, evaluate and analyze causes of project delay; and propose corresponding solutions.
- Build plans which can recover the project schedule: Based on project schedule analysis, make appropriate plans to recover project schedules. Responsible for considering and ensuring assigned tasks to be completed in accordance with HSE requirement during task implementation.
- Update manpower, cost and data relating to project plan.
- Timely report to superior about difficulties that are out of control.
- Propose appropriate solutions to fabrication, enhance productivity and save materials.
- Have responsibilities to ensure HSE policies for manpower and properties, which are under his/her management.
- Impart all HSE knowledge to subordinates and ensure they understand such knowledge clearly.

- Acquire and reflect ideas to authorities to make/ improve the working environment better for health, life and environment around.
- Have the right to refuse or stop implementing assigned tasks or require other ones to stop his/her work if recognize risks directly causing accidents/ affecting health or environment; report to authorities for problem solving. Responsible for his/her own decisions.
- Practice, monitor and encourage subordinates to follow waste prevention policies of the Company.
- Ensure the spirit of unification, cooperation and coordination among disciplines/ colleagues/ subordinates during work completion.
- Make periodical and emergency reports to Project Manager, Department Planning Manager about assigned tasks.
- Have the right to be provided essential information for implementing assigned tasks.
- Require project disciplines to provide essential information for updating project schedule and making periodical reports.
- Directly report to Project Manager or Department Planning Manager in urgent cases.
- Have the right to refuse or stop implementing assigned tasks or require other ones to stop his/her work if recognize risks directly causing accidents/ affecting health or environment; report to authorities for problem solving.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor
- Major: Economics, Technical, Planning, Business Management.
- Working Experience: At least 02 years as a project planning engineer or other project engineer.
- English level : Minimum TOEIC 500 or equivalent
- Computer Skill : Word, excel, outlook express, internet, Microsoft Project, Primavera and AutoCad
